January Sales Scouting: Paperchase

During my time in London a couple of weeks ago I found the enormous Paperchase store based on Tottenham Court Road and I just fell in love with, well, everything! The entire store was so gorgeously decorated for Christmas and the ornaments and trees on sale were so sparkly and beautiful that I was so disappointed at the fact that I really don't have enough money to spend on glittery items which are only really appropriate during December. So I came up with this idea, that I'm going to bide my time, keeping my eye all the while on the different bits and bobs that will make me a much happier person, and buy them all as soon as they go on sale in January. I've done this with a few shops recently because it is breaking my heart spending all my money on other people. Yes, I went there.

Anyway, here are a few snaps of the store, so hopefully you will be able to understand how I've been taken in by the unique stationers...

*The shop window enticed me in. I couldn't help it*

*I really like the black tree... I would like a real tree in my living room, but this would be lovely for my bedroom!*

*Don't you think it is cute how they have used cards on the tree instead of baubles on the tree? I think its a great idea, especially at times when hanging ornaments for the tree can cost so much these days! I'm going to be taking a leaf out of Paperchase's book (pardon the stationary-related pun) and follow in their footsteps next year*

*These boxes of multicoloured baubles really caught my eye as I figured they would look ideal on the black tree. Plus, at only £12 for 180 I don't know why I didn't just grab them then and there... Probably because I'm hoping they will be 50% off come January*

*I liked this silver, white and light blue colour scheme. I don't know why, but it really reminds me of skiing... snow is white with silvery sparkles and the sky is always light blue. Call me crazy*

*All of the wrapping paper is so beautiful and good quality! I actually bought a little bit to wrap for my family, but it is quite expensive. Sad really as I would love to paper my walls with it*

Have you spotted any Paperchase goodies you'd like to invest in? Are there any stores which you are waiting for in terms of the January sales? Is it only me that seethes at the idea of spending my hard-earned pennies on others? Not that I don't love them, I do, but still... *insert sheepish face here*

  1. I absolutely LOVE that Paperchase store. That and the Muji down TCR will always take my money when I'm in London.

I am also really fond of the art supplies section on the upper floor. It's really grown over the past few years. Of course if I want a little PC fix when I'm in Birmingham I go to the little one in House of Fraser.

    1. I want to go to Muji because apparently they have some fab makeup storage units... Might have to go check it out next time I'm about.
